Telangana appoints new DMHOs for Hanumakonda, Medchal Malkajgiri

Telangana government appointed new District Medical and Health Officers (DMHOs) for Hanumakonda and Medchal Malkajgiri districts on Tuesday, July 8, 2026. The order was given by Health Minister Christina Z. Chongthu.

Civil Surgeon Appaiah has been appointed as DMHO of Hanumakonda and K. Anand, Civil Surgeon and Resident Medical Officer (RMO) of Niloufer Hospital has been appointed as DMHO Medchal Malkajgiri.

While the order regarding Medchal Malkajgiri stated only administrative reasons for the change, the change of Hanumakonda DMHO came in the wake of harassment complaints by staff against outgoing DMHO S. Durga Ramkumar.
