Candace Parker tells Caitlin Clark haters to ‘go to therapy’ after shocking WNBA player rankings

There’s a reason why Caitlin Clark is at the center of the WNBA universe: She’s the best.

Names like A’ja Wilson may challenge Clark at the MVP level, but no one at his position can score and assist as much as Clark.

Clark’s WNBA teams beg to differ, ranking her as the 11th-best guard in the league.

It’s no secret now that WNBA players are jealous of Clark’s popularity and appeal. The list was another example of the leaguewide anti-Clark campaign.

Let’s take it from WNBA legend Candace Parker, who made this point while talking to Clark’s Fever teammate Aliyah Boston.

Parker ranked Clark 11th in the judges’ poll and said the league should stop disrespecting Clark and give him some flowers.

She said: “This is also crazy. I wholeheartedly believe there should be some rules regarding WNBA players because this is getting out of control. Caitlin Clark [being] “She was voted the 11th best guard by WNBA players, that’s crazy.”

Parker pointed out the insecurities that continue to poison the well in the WNBA, where many players choose resentment over respect.

The WNBA media is most guilty of this.

“If you sit down and put Caitlin Clark as the 11th best guard, I think people need to look at themselves in the mirror and realize that you have some insecurities.

WNBA WANTS A BIGGER STORY FROM CAITLIN CLARK BUT TV RATINGS SHOW IT

“You all need to go to a therapist and figure out what kind of issues you had in your childhood, because if you’re sitting there looking at yourself in the mirror and you put him in the 11th best guard, come on.”

Parker has led an illustrious career with three championships, two MVP awards, a Finals MVP and Defensive Player of the Year honors. He was also a seven-time All-Star and two-time Olympic gold medalist.

According to Parker, he would never try to start an anti-campaign against some of the biggest stars in the league.

“As much as I don’t like Diana Taurasi when I sit down, I’m not going to write her off as an All-Star.”

“Even though I don’t like anyone on Lynx, I won’t put Maya Moore or Sylvia Fowles on because they yell at us.”

Fans account for 50% of the All-Star vote, while players and media each account for 25%.

Clark, who will face the Sparks on Wednesday night, is averaging 21.2 points, 8.2 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 0.8 steals in 30.8 minutes per game.

Clark finished second overall in fan voting and earned a starting spot thanks to fans and the media, not his fellow players.

To tamp down Clark’s hype, WNBA players, former players and the media targeted the Fever guard, believing she was “overrated,” ignoring the phenomenon that had followed her since college.

Even if WNBA players don’t see it that way, her appeal should be supported.

Since entering the WNBA, Clark has shattered league attendance and attendance records. The WNBA averages 9,807 fans per game in 2024; This is a 48% increase over the previous season. Total attendance surpassed 2.35 million, sellout numbers jumped from 45 to 154, and the league followed that up with another seasonal attendance record in 2025.

She has been rocket fuel for the league, the spark behind the Fever alongside All-Stars Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell, and a solid leader in her own right.

Clark’s most ardent supporters have called for her to switch leagues to really crack down on the WNBA.

Without Clark, the WNBA would be back to holding promotional nights just to fill seats.
