Nandyal Fruits Leave CM Naidu Surprised, Enthused

Kurnool: All eyes were on the rich horticultural diversity of Nandyal district on Thursday as Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed surprise and appreciation after seeing the wide variety of locally grown fruits at his public meeting at Banaganapalle.
Farmers in the district brought horticultural produce such as dates, pomegranates and drumsticks and exhibited them in front of the CM. Naidu showed intense interest and interacted with farmers and officials for about half an hour to understand the varieties, planting practices and related investments.
Appreciating the efforts of the farmers, the CM said, “I am very surprised to see such a wide variety of horticultural produce in Nandyal. This shows the immense potential of the region.”
Horticulture farmers and department officials briefed him about the crops, yield patterns and market prospects. The exhibition attracted great attention from those present at the venue, with many expressing surprise at the variety of crops grown in the area.
“I didn’t expect so many varieties of fruit could be grown here. It’s really impressive,” said a visitor to the meeting.
Many farmers shared their experiences with the prime minister. “We grow these crops with great effort. With proper support, horticulture can become quite profitable for us,” said a farmer.
