HM Suspended For Telecast Of CM’s Event

Chennai: S Malliga’s principal of Panchayat Union Girls Secondary School at Krishnarayapuram in Karur district has been suspended for neglecting her duties and failing to comply with the circular issued by Minister of State for School Education Rajmohan on Thursday regarding televising of only official government events on school premises.

The school in Krishnarayapuram had shown the event attended by Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay in Karur to distribute appointment orders to 41 relatives of those killed in a stampede at a TVK election rally in Karur on September 27, 2025.

Stating that strict action will be taken against those who violate the order as the Chief Minister has already made it clear that there is no scope for any political activity in the school, Rajmohan urged and warned the Chief Education Officers, District Education Officers and School Principals to be careful in this regard.
