Perth grandmother in hospital after having rock thrown at her while cycling
Good morning and welcome to our live news blog for Tuesday, July 14th.
Making headlines today, property prices continue to rise across Perth but this does not appear to be affected potential buyers looking to spend more than $2 million on a new home.
The average home sales price rose 16.3 per cent to $930,000 in the last financial year, and the time to sell for properties increased from just over a week to 18 days.
But properties in affluent suburbs such as North Beach, City Beach, Bicton and Mosman Park are seeing homes for half the price fly off the market in the same amount of time.
Meanwhile, lawyers for a Perth hospital at war with a local gym claim they are not “overly sensitive” to noise complaints from weights and music, while the gym’s lawyers say the hospital should not have moved into the building in the first place.
