WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event matches and predictions in New York

WWE’s Saturday Night Main Event comes to Madison Square Garden in New York City on Saturday night.

The event is expected to feature the company’s top stars competing against each other, with possible additions to the Undisputed WWE Championship match at SummerSlam.

New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson is also expected to attend the match and exchange views with world heavyweight champion Roman Reigns. Brunson, who has previously been in a WWE ring, said that during the NBA playoffs, he and his coach acknowledged Reigns before each match.

It’s not certain, but it looks like Brunson has a chance to become an honorary Bloodline member. But we will see.

Danhausen and JD McDonagh in a no-DQ match

Doomsday has been upset for a few weeks now that Danhausen took Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh’s money without swearing at his opponent. Mysterio and McDonagh stole the Knicks jersey that was given to Danhausen after New York won the NBA championship because they did not “curse” it. The stakes were upped on Monday when it became a no disqualification match.

Prediction: Can’t let Danhausen lose in front of the New York crowd. Danhausen will pass over McDonagh.

Paige and Brie Bella have been WWE women’s tag team champions since WrestleMania 42. However, their reign may be in jeopardy as they have defeated Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley when it comes to the title. Fatal Influence members Reid and Henley have been on a tear since their main roster debut. There is a high probability that Reid and Henley will leave New York with the belts.

Prediction: Fatal Influence takes the tag team titles.

Bayley vs. Lyra Valkyria

Lyra Valkyria and Bayley were once friends, but when she lost the tag team championship, Valkyria turned her back on Bayley a few weeks ago. On Monday, Valkyria was broken. She blamed Bayley for holding her back as an opponent. Their feud will reach its climax in the ring at Madison Square Garden.

Prediction: Valkyria will get a big win over Bayley.

CM Punk and Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther and Sami Zayn

The big ticket match will be a tag team feud between CM Punk and Cody Rhodes and Gunther and Sami Zayn. Rhodes, Gunther, and Zayn had been in a major feud for over a month, leading to Zayn becoming the undisputed WWE champion at Night of Champions in June. However, Punk’s championship reign lasted only nine days before he made a dramatic return to “Monday Night Raw” and defeated Zayn. Punk and Rhodes have agreed to a match for the title at SummerSlam, but the contenders may bump up that match depending on Saturday night’s outcome. If Gunther and Zayn win, they will be added to the fight. It raises the bar for what should be an interesting tag team match.

Prediction: Punk and Rhodes work together to fend off Gunther and Zayn.
