Tips and previews for racing at Rosehill on Saturday

Race 1: KIA ORA HANDICAP FROM BLOODLINES TO HEADLINES (1200M)
2. Seeiaye He worked hard on pace and Omolong had a chance in the match a few weeks ago. He will go forward again and will probably have to run even harder this time if he is allowed to relax. 3. Topics An interesting colt who continues his third on Black Opal in March. I thought the last try was useful and from the first barrier it didn’t work. Keep it in mind. 6. Satin Summer It looked like he would get his chance in the same race as Seeiaye, but he will be in better form and is capable of making that improvement once he wears the glasses. 5. Jungle King He was surprised when he won for the first time at Canterbury in February and then did not take part in Pago Pago. He goes through some trials that reveal good form.
How to play: Try to win.
Race 2: MIDWAY HANDICAP (1300M)
14. Embrace the Wind After an excellent comeback, second place in Midway company seems much more appropriate. It was the day you had to be close to the inside, and he had stepped back from a wide gate, filling the middle with a pile of late soil. Different installation from interior door and journey. Good luck. 13. Numerous He stood out at Midway two weeks ago and was perhaps shaken too quickly. He’s back here through the gate and needs to keep running strong. 12. Motoscafo He ran a much improved race at the same Midway where he finished fifth. All round good prospects at weights if the track stays on the better side of soft. 1. Mafia It’s in great shape and canned, with an emphasis on Cold Brew. It will be accelerated and should be included.
How to play: Embrace the wind in every way.
Race 3: TAB HIGHWAY HANDICAP (1100M)
16. Dividends Paid He found the open class 2 for his Highway debut and had good results with two wins on the short courses at Coffs Harbor and Grafton. It’s more challenging here, but he seems to be making his own luck with the speed and having a good try. He is interested in using his strengths and it is interesting to see how well he is doing. 12. Kakoda It was lightly raced and came on the back of a solid Tamworth win, narrowly missed at Scone last week. He knows how to find the line and is an important player. 15. Main Event She had a very good rate after Rose Aye on the Highway in February. He’ll come back and get to the line and if they can make the run, it won’t be a surprise if he lands somewhere. 7. Breaking Dawn He led all the way at the Sapphire Coast in Grade 3 about a month ago, and although this track gives an advantage to pace runners, he has built a good lead over his rivals. Can give an opinion.
How to play: Dividends are Paid in All Directions.
Race 4: FIND YOUR BET WINNER IN THE CHASE HANDICAP (1500M)
9. Cheval De Bois He rebounded strongly after being beaten in a close finish at Kensington for second place. He gets the weight advantage over the winner and draws to follow in what should be a real enough pace. There’s no reason why it can’t continue to improve and be difficult to beat. 8. Attractiveness will probably have to compromise on the outside barrier, but if they keep going the city is closing in on a win. I ran into a smart race two weeks ago but he was finishing his race well and the ride should match that. 4. Entertainment Show He’s chasing a hat-trick after a couple of easy wins at state level, and being in Benchmark 68 isn’t that big of a leap when he’s in class. 1. Basketball Court He has been on winning form in his last two matches and continued that performance when beating Cheval De Bois a few weeks ago. It’s hard to knock on the door because he’ll be in the line of fire.
How to play: Cheval De Bois wins.
Race 5: CONGRATULATIONS ATC MEMBER JANE MCDONALD HANDICAP (2400M)
14. Le Troisir With 14 starts he can still be considered a promising player and was easily the best from the back over 2000 meters two weeks ago. He was the winner in the 2200 meters, so the extra ground shouldn’t be a problem. I’m happy to forgive him his only run of the trip so far. He gets the chance to emerge. 7. Golden Century He was threatening and was not far from Le Troisir in the same race after finding himself almost last on the turn. If he can benefit from a kind door, he can become an important asset. 9. Cormac T It provided excellent visibility as he competed at the front and behind Anythink Goes in the same event. He won on the trip and although his form has been up and down he can run well if he can maintain it. 11. Deal N’ Dash It gives support after making some progress in testing conditions at Randwick last week. He quickly jumps into the accommodation journey and can begin to fulfill a promise made early.
How to Play: Le Troisir wins.
Race 6: RANVET HANDICAP (1200M)
3. Sword of Legacy She brings a different form to a race that looks good for a filly who is still on the rise. Forgive his run through the wide gate with the dangers of the second order, he was a solid favorite last time and has proven to be very good for his age. It draws impressively and looks hard to beat. Row 8 They finished ahead of Sword Of Legacy when they met in June, but he scored well there and has put in a solid performance in two runs on wet tracks since then. The drier it is, the better it is for him and his ability to win is higher. 2. Ticklish belly She’s very honest about speed and fell down fighting behind Bella Corazon in the 1300m a month ago. There’s nothing more difficult here and he should be very competitive if he gets a favor. 1. So You Pence He ran a big race in the Kosciuszko last year and backed it up by winning the Barn Dance. After a long spell and without public hearings (there will be leaps and bounds), it will spread widely, thus improving everything it demonstrates.
How to Play: Legacy Sword for the win.
Race 7: SCHWEPPES HANDICAP (1100M)
It’s a big day for 10. Ice Cool. He looks well above average and is stepping into open company for the first time. At Benchmark 78 level he has been excellent in two wins in the Randwick 1000m, most recently overcoming a tough run and dropping to 52.5kg. He has the speed to get ahead and if he is as smart as he looks then he will shake it up. It’s very short though. 4. Roselyn’s Star He is the winner of the 3rd final start group and has drawn with the favourites, which could strengthen his first place hopes. He looks like he’s giving it a really good try and if the young gun doesn’t go off he’ll be the one most likely to strike. 2. Road to the Stars He has been refreshed since the Takeover Goal at Gosford where he led and ran third. Talented type and a sure shot. 6. Barber They’ll find this a little easier than their last run in Brisbane and to be fair they’re not terribly unbeaten. He’s well drawn and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he returns to his old form.
How to Play: Ice Kool will win.
Race 8: RACE AND SPORTS HANDICAP (1300M)
12. Sir Artie It was one of the second runs of the day at Rosehill a fortnight ago, settling behind a wide gate under a big weight and working strongly on home ground to be beaten a length and a half by Silvanito. This supported a new and beautiful effort. He drops 5.5kg for his class move up and might be right at the finish if he doesn’t have to back off so much. 3. Dark Glow He put it all together when he stormed in from the outside to pass Smashing Time on his last start of this class. Both of his runs since leaving the group label have been strong, you know he has a big finish and can back it up when he sees the light of day. 8.Franz Josef He has not competed since November 2024 but has gradually prepared and is trying well for the long-awaited comeback. Market a good pointer late, but if all goes well he can run well. 10. Midnight Opal It’s consistent and held up well behind Dark Glitter last time out. It’s always a two-way chance.
How to Play: In any case, Sir Artie.
Race 9: TOYOTA FORKLIFTS WINTER CHALLENGE (1500M)
8. Midnight Dynamite He found himself well behind in the Winter Stakes and had a lot of work to do for a horse of his style, so finishing third was a commendable effort. He sat much closer to the pace when racing the Civic Stakes and would be shocked if he wasn’t looking for similar ground here. Should give him another chance. 2. General Salute Things went well in the Winter Stakes and he scored a strong win. It went up about 2kg and didn’t pull that well, but the actual speed is just outside that. It’s hard to ignore. 20. Sir Artie Although he has moved up in class in two excellent runs back from the spell, he is not without hope in both directions. If he pulls and runs slowly, his weight drops quickly. 15. Sea Waterfall He has won three of his last five matches and can be forgiven for his run at the Winter Championships at Flemington. His previous form was very good and saw him start the market so he could respond through the home gate. 10. McHale There are faces that will startle from the wide door, but he will continue to run, as he did last time when he chased General Salute.
How to Play: Midnight Dynamite will win.
Race 10: ROSEHILL BOWLING CLUB HANDICAP (1200M)
13. Snack Bar He gets a bit of slander, but you can’t ignore his big run a few weeks ago when he finished third in a similar race. You had to be near the fence and he was three and four deep unprotected. He went up but could not continue in the swamp. The runner-up has won ever since. He gets his style of sultry draw and he’s a contender. 12. Columbia Blue He was a bit unlucky not to gain first place with Polyglot’s touch two weeks ago. This was 1100 meters and here again he had the outer gate he encountered. With a little luck or a helpful track layout, he can do better. 16. Silencio Porfavor He is ahead in the standings but comes with a dominant win over Newcastle and although there is more depth he has drawn well and could use a boost in confidence. 2. Ready to Shine It can’t be ignored, he won the race for Snack Bar and his form picked up from there. It weighs up to 2.5 kg but remains under warning.
How to Play: Snack Bar for the win.
