Tarun Tahiliani Moves Away from the Traditional Fashion Show at This Edition of India Couture Week 2026

This season, Tarun Tahiliani presents Navaratna, an immersive off-site showcase that moves away from the traditional fashion show and re-imagines how couture is experienced.
Presented as part of the India Couture Week 2026 calendar, Navaratna transforms Bikaner House into a multi-sensory stepping stone where craft, couture and technology merge. Rather than witnessing garments in fleeting moments on the runway, visitors will journey through a series of immersive environments, each revealing a different facet of Tarun Tahiliani’s universe.
At the heart of the experience is the dialogue between heritage and innovation. Through immersive stage design, projection mapping, digital installations and multimedia storytelling, technology becomes an extension of craftsmanship; Staying true to Tarun Tahiliani’s India Modern philosophy, it frames and elevates the artistry behind each garment.
The showcase celebrates Navaratna, or the “nine jewels,” by bringing together the many expressions of the house through a carefully curated journey that highlights the diverse craft traditions, materials, and design languages that have shaped the Tarun Tahiliani atelier over the past three decades. Designed as an experience rather than a traditional fashion presentation, the showcase encourages guests to pause, explore and appreciate the extraordinary details, artistry and craftsmanship behind each work.
More than a fashion presentation, Navaratna offers a new way to experience couture where heritage, innovation and craftsmanship exist in dialogue. It is a contemporary expression of Tarun Tahiliani’s India Modern philosophy, which celebrates tradition through new ideas, new technologies and immersive storytelling.
