M5 traffic LIVE: Police rush to major motorway as incident sparks closure—80-minute delay | UK | News

Drivers on a major highway are experiencing traffic difficulties following a police-led incident. The M5 at Somerset, near Bridgewater, is closed in both directions between J23 at Puriton and J24 at Huntworth.

Avon and Somerset Police officers were dispatched to the scene and are en route to the scene according to traffic cameras. The closure caused major delays on approach, with delays of up to 80 minutes and a 5-mile traffic jam at approximately 10.30am.
