‘Prince Harry has been humanised – it’s refreshing to see’ | Royal | News

Prince Harry’s podcast appearance this week divided opinion, but one branding expert said he thought it “humanised” the royal more than ever. The Duke of Sussex appeared on Monday’s episode of the Joe Marler Will See You Now podcast and surprised many royal fans.

Speaking exclusively to The Daily Express, brand and culture expert Nick Ede said: “Harry’s humor makes him feel much more approachable, whether it’s joking about being a ‘sundown brunette’, introducing himself as just ‘H’, or making light-hearted comments about someone’s hands.

“The podcast hosts helped humanize it, and that’s really refreshing.”

Ede continued: “This is exactly the kind of look Prince Harry needs. He’s often been seen through the lens of legal battles, family tensions and serious conversations, but here we saw a much more natural, relaxed and genuinely funny side of him.”

“He reminded people of Prince Harry, who was linked to so many years ago – someone who was warm and cocky and could laugh at himself, which is what Meghan saw in him.”

Harry spent most of his time alone in England; Meghan and her children flew to England later in the week to spend special time with their family. They were supposed to stay in the UK longer, but plans changed when it became clear the family would not have armed police protection.
