Influencer Andrew Tate and brother Tristan arrested on rape and sex trafficking charges

Influencer brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate have been arrested by US federal authorities in Miami.

Britain’s Crown Prosecution Service said the people in question were arrested following an extradition request from the United Kingdom on Saturday.

Malcolm McHaffie, head of the CPS’s Special Crime Section, said: “We have decided to prosecute Andrew and Tristan Tate for further offences, including rape, arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation and offenses relating to indecent images of a child.”

“These charging decisions follow the receipt of a new evidence file from Bedfordshire Police, bringing the total number of alleged victims in this case to seven.”

The crime is alleged to have occurred between July 2010 and August 2017.

“The CPS has requested the Tates’ extradition from the US. They have been arrested and are awaiting extradition to the UK.”

The hypermasculinity advocate brothers, who have millions of followers on social media, are wanted in the United Kingdom, where they face rape and human trafficking charges.

The brothers are dual US and British citizens who moved to Romania in 2016.

They were arrested there in 2022, accused of participating in schemes that encouraged the sexual exploitation of women.

They denied these allegations and the case did not proceed due to legal and procedural irregularities.

By championing a lifestyle of luxury and unapologetic misogyny, former professional kickboxers have amassed a following of fans, especially young men and boys.

The ongoing accusations in the UK accused the brothers of harassing women between 2012 and 2015 in an area of north London where they grew up.

His lawyers said they denied the allegations.
