Suspect named as woman charged with murder after death of 75-year-old man | UK | News

A suspect accused of murder following the death of a 75-year-old man has been identified by police. Police officers were called to an address in Bolton at around 8am on Friday.
There they found a 75-year-old man who was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation has been launched by Greater Manchester Police (GMP). A crime scene van and a police car were photographed near the Hargreaves House address in Ormrod Street on Saturday, the MEN reported.
Today, July 19, GMP said a woman named Samantha Nuttall has been charged in connection with the incident.
He was remanded in custody and is expected to appear at Salford Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
A GMP statement said: “A woman has been charged following the death of a man at Hargreaves House, Ormrod Street, Bolton, on Friday 17 July 2026.
“Samantha Nuttall (26.05.1977), Bradford Street, Bolton, was charged with murder and remanded in custody. She will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 20 July 2026.
“The charge relates to an incident to which officers were called to Hargreaves House, Ormrod Street, Bolton, at around 8am on Friday, July 17, 2026. Unfortunately, a 75-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.”
