Namma 112 alert helps police save woman

Namma 112 Emergency Response System and Hoysala patrol team saved the life of a woman who allegedly attempted suicide by consuming a tablet near TMC Office.

According to the police, at 17.36 on July 19, a passerby called the Namma 112 Emergency Helpline and reported that a woman was trying to end her life due to alleged family-related problems. The incident took place near TMC Office under the jurisdiction of Vidhana Soudha Police Station.

The emergency control room immediately notified Hoysala-43 of Commerce Street Police Station. Sub-inspector Umapathi J. and superintendent of police Dundappa T., who were on patrol duty, rushed to the spot and reached within six minutes.

Realizing that the woman needed urgent medical attention, police personnel immediately took her to the nearest hospital in an autorickshaw, where she received timely treatment.

Doctors later confirmed that the woman was out of danger. After ensuring that his condition was stabilized, the Hoysala team handed him over to the police for further legal formalities and follow-up proceedings.
