Caitlin Clark proves there’s no NBA 2K27 cover curse as Fever set franchise scoring record
Dan Dakich on Indiana Fever coach’s response to GOP letter
Sports analyst Dan Dakich is criticizing Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White for her evasive response regarding the GOP’s letter to the WNBA. The letter addresses concerns about the treatment of Caitlin Clark, with reports suggesting some of the attacks were racially motivated. Dakich questions the coach’s failure to defend his star player and the league’s lack of support despite Congress’ involvement in the matter.
The Indiana Fever continued their momentum Wednesday night and cruised to their third straight win with a 123-88 rout of the Connecticut Sun. Just hours after being announced as the cover athlete for NBA 2K27, Caitlin Clark recorded another double-double with 27 points and 11 assists.
Clark’s teammate Kelsey Mitchell added 23 points and set a Fever record for points in a game.
Aliyah Boston, the first pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft, scored 22 points for Indiana.

The Fever had the biggest half in team history, leading 70-46 at halftime. This was the third most goals scored game without extra time in league history.
Monique Billings and Tyasha Harris added 12 points each for Indiana, while the Fever made 11 of 22 attempts from beyond the arc.

The Fever will now turn their attention to All-Star weekend, where Clark, Boston and Kelsey Mitchell will represent Indiana in Chicago.

Wednesday’s win improved Indiana’s record to 17-10, and the Fever will enter the All-Star break atop the Eastern Conference standings, just a half-game ahead of Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream.
