ANM Found Dead At Village Secretariat In Nellore District

Nellore: A 27-year-old Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) was found dead at Tonukumala Village Secretariat in Chillakur mandal of SPSR Nellore district on Thursday. Police said they were investigating the incident.

The deceased, identified as Sripati Sai Chandana Priya, was a native of Rajupalem village in Ojili mandal and was working as ANO in Tonukumala Village Secretariat.

According to police, he was found unresponsive at the Secretariat in the afternoon. Local residents alerted authorities and the woman was pronounced dead.

Police said they found a note saying no one should be held responsible for the woman’s death. The content of the note is being verified within the scope of the investigation.

Chillakur sub-inspector P. Suresh Babu and his team visited the spot, conducted preliminary examination and shifted the body to Gudur District Hospital for post-mortem.

A case has been registered and further investigation is on.
