‘Beautiful boy’: Sarah Abo announces birth of first child, Sonny

A little more than a week after leaving the Today show, Sarah Abo announced the birth of her first child, Sonny.

“What a great week we had with our little man,” the Today co-host wrote on Instagram.

“He came into the world a little early, but that gave us a little more time to admire you, our beautiful son.

“And to the incredible doctors and midwives who turned the hospital into their home for two weeks; thank you for taking such good care of us, you are all angels and we are forever grateful.”

Abo announced on July 15 that he would be leaving Today after “dealing with a negative situation” regarding his health.
