PM Modi thanks people for responses, positive suggestions received for midnight video

Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked everyone for the responses and positive suggestions received to his video on Friday, July 24, 2026, in which he announced the government’s decision to introduce a strict law to punish those involved in paper leaks.

In his video message, Mr Modi said a new bill envisaging strong measures against paper leaks will be introduced in the ongoing session of Parliament next week.

The bill, which was announced by the Prime Minister in the Instagram video he shared on the intervening night of Thursday, July 23 and Friday, July 24, was approved by the Union Cabinet on Friday.

In his new video message published on his Instagram account, he said, “Thank you, friends. I had the opportunity to talk to you at midnight. Thank you to everyone for your responses to my video, your positive suggestions. Your love will continue to flow, our relations will continue to get closer. Thank you, thank you friends.”

Mr Modi’s outreach to the youth comes four days after thousands of students led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) took part in the ‘Sansad Chalo’ march to press for their demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over exam-related irregularities.
