German authorities canceled a popular festival on Saturday, saying several people were injured when a car crashed into the Berlin festivities.
“We are currently deployed at the Großer Tiergarten together with a large number of police forces and rescue units of the Berlin Fire Brigade,” Berlin Police said in a translated X post after telling festivalgoers to leave the area. he said.
Police reported that the injured were being treated by rescue teams.
The incident occurred during the European city’s annual Christopher Street Day festival, an LGBTQ+ pride event.

“We are conducting an intense manhunt for the suspects,” police added.
Authorities did not release a possible motive or disclose the severity of the injuries.

Hundreds of thousands of people attended the event, which included a parade and culminated with a demonstration in the Tiergarten park near the Brandenberg Gate on Saturday evening.
