Nickelodeon actress opens residual checks worth pennies on social media

Nickelodeon actress Jennifer Hyatt Tedmori has drawn the curtain on life after her child star status.
Tedmori, 37, warned his social media followers of “an accident to come” earlier this week as he examined checks from his time on the popular children’s comedy series “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide.”
“POV: You were on a TV show 20 years ago and a random envelope still shows up in your mailbox,” he captioned a video before revealing the paltry sum.

“It’s time to open my last Ned’s Declassified checks,” Tedmori wrote. “Leftover checks are one of the weird aspects of being a child actor that people always wonder about, so I thought I’d unpack them with you.”
“Who’s ready to find out if I’m buying coffee or a yacht?” he added.
Holding a thick pile of unopened mail in his hand, Tedmori told the television world of his troubles.

“I’ve been putting off bringing this up for months because it’s a b—h,” she told her followers. “Some of these might be a dime, some might be $5.”
After opening a piece of mail and detailing the episode from which he received his check, Tedmori revealed a two-cent paycheck.
“It’s all two cents,” he said. “See. I’m throwing all these papers in my car… I know these are tough times. The economy is terrible… keep it. I don’t want this.”

Tedmori proceeded to open the mail where he received a check for 0.63 cents and another check for “video projects and school clubs” for three cents.
“Don’t come after me to throw away a penny,” he called out to his followers. “I get it now. It’s been a long time. I’m surprised I got anything. But three cents? It cost you 75 cents to send this envelope.”

He added: “The way it’s collected… the math is nothing but math.” One check for $1.11 was dated “more than 20 years ago,” when Tedmori appeared on an episode of “90210.”
The player who opened the checks for 68 cents, 87 cents, 36 cents, 45 cents, 2 for 3 cents, 3 for 81 cents and 2 for 1.01 dollars announced his winnings.

“So for ‘Ned’s Declassified,’ that netted me $8.63 total,” he said, holding a microphone in his car. “$30.06 with ‘90210’. Maybe I can go get coffee at Starbucks.”
He added, “Am I going to report this to the IRS? They won’t even care.”
