Export Facilitation Centres supporting MSMEs, says Union Minister

The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has established 65 export facilitating centers (EFCs) throughout the country to support MSMEs in increasing export capabilities.

This was in a written response to Msmes Shobha Karandlaje, in response to a question in Parliament by Sivanath (Chinni).

The Minister of Union said that he helped MSMEs by raising awareness about the export plans of these EFCs, conducting training programs and supporting documentation processes. Support has grown continuously over the years, 2,865 MSME 2022-23, 2023-24 4,727 and 2024-25 in 3,630.

He received support only through EFCs between 50 MSME in Andhra Pradesh, between EFCs between 2024-25, and emphasized that Mrs. Karandlage and these centers are often conducting training programs and workshops to raise awareness and prepare MSMes for international markets.

A total of 127 programs were held in 2022-23, 2023-24 and 180 in 2024-25. Between 2024-25, such an training program was held at Andhra Pradesh.

In particular, these centers operate without any special fund allocation, instead of the Ministry’s existing field offices. Although there is no separate statistics for export volumes, the Minister emphasized that EFCs contribute significantly to increasing the competitiveness and capacity of the MSMEs in the export sector.
