Need to make Sanskrit a medium of communication: RSS chief Bhagwat

RSS chef Mohan Bhagwat said that on Friday, August 1, 2025, Sanskrit is the origin of all Indian languages and that it was needed to make it a means of communication.
Speaking at the opening of a building at Kavi Kulguru Kulidas Sanskrit University, Mr. Bhagwat said there was a difference between understanding Sanskrit and chatting in the language.
Sanskrit University will take a government’s protection, but people said it was necessary.
RSS chief, “I learned the language, but I can not speak fluently. Sanskrit needs to reach every household and communication is required in the language,” he said.
Mr. Bhagwat said unanimously about the need to be ‘Atmanirbhar’ we need to improve our minds and knowledge.
Language said a bhav (emotion). “Swatwa is not materialist, but through individuality and language. Sanskrit is the source of all Indian languages.”
Sanskrit knowing is like understanding the country, he added. Mr. Bhagwat launched an international academic building of Abhinav Bhart at the university.
