Andhra Pradesh’s Net GST Collections at Highest-Ever Rs 2,930 Crore in July

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh’s net GST collections exceeded 2,930 RS in July with the highest 3,803 RS gross collections in July since the release of the GST system in 2017.

In the last four months of April, the AP has recorded the highest gross and net GST collections compared to the same months of the previous financial years.

A Babu State Tax Chief Commissioner, said in a statement on Friday, net GST collections increased by 12.2 percent in July this year compared to the previous year. Gross GST collections, compared to the same month last year, this July 14 percent of healthy growth recorded.

Meanwhile, SGST collections showed a double -digit growth. They touched 1,226 RS Crore, which marked an impressive growth of 14.47 percent.

In July this year, the state received an IGST settlement of 1,704 RS, which showed an annual increase of 10.69 % and effective monitoring. The remarkable increase in Net GST collections, compared to July 2024, is due to a stable growth in the Aerodynamic IGST settlements and the tax base.

Babu said, “Increased income from petroleum products for the last three months, increasing economic activity in the sector and more tax compliance. Professional tax income increased by 51 percent in July 2025 and an increase of 55 percent compared to the previous year, expanding scope and improved application efficiency.”

Important steps to increase tax collections, “Central and state coordination, strategic distribution through performance -based transfers, reversal of the parked amount, robust data analysis, stronger research mechanisms, more powerful research mechanisms, compatibility driving against protectors, defining assets and bank accounts using the use of performance indicators.
