A 35 -year -old woman’s injured organ, on Sunday, August 3, 2025, said in an area in the town of Afzalgarh in the Bijnor region of Uttar Pradesh.

While the police suspect that he was attacked by a leopard, the forest officials believe that this is a murder case and then he was later ruled by an animal.

Afzalgarh Circle Officer Rajesh Solanki said that when the woman was attacked by a leopard, she went to a field close to the town on Saturday evening to collect feed for cattle.

His body was later found seriously injured.

“The first signs suggest a leopard attack,” he said.

However, Bijnor Department Forestry Officer (DFO) Abhinav Raj contradicted the police version, saying that the scars and conditions of the injury pointed to the murder.

“This seems to be a murder case. The body may have been partially eaten by an animal after death,” he said.

The police sent the body for postmortem and more investigations are continuing.
