Melbourne Hebrew Congregation targeted by man in Scream mask
A man wearing a mask from the horror film has repelled the aggressive graffiti in a historical synagogue in Southern Yarra five times since March.
CCTV footage shows a lonely man who approaches a white mask on an e-SCOOTER on an e-SCOOTER before vandializing the synagogue. Later he escaped from Scooter.
The police claim that he had drawn graffiti in the synagogue on 11 March, 21 June 22, June 22, July 22 and 30 July. He said he wore a screaming mask in July events, but in other cases wearing different face covers such as bandana.
“There is absolutely no place for hate -based behaviors in our society,” Victoria police spokesman said.
