Chloral hydrate manufacturing unit busted, five arrested

Five men operating a chlorean hydrate (soothing vehicle) production unit operating in an isolated farm house near Chitia on Bhainsa -Nirmal Road were arrested by the State Mission Force (STF) of the Teanghana Consumption and Prohibition Department. Authorities, during the raid with a kilogram Alprazolam 425 kilograms of chloreral hydrate seized.

Burra Ramesh Goud, Rama Goud, Srinivas Goud, Rajasekhar Goud and Raju Goud, defined as the defendant, producing chlorine hydrate using chlorine from the Bhiwandi region of Mumbai. It was reported that they diluted it with water, freezed it using temporary ice blocks for ten days, and then converted a narcotic -bound composition sold as Toddy.

The research revealed that Toddy, which is connected to toxic substances such as chloreral hydrate and alprazolam, is widely distributed in local Toddy shops and poses serious health hazards. A case was reserved and more investigations continue.
