‘Sonia Gandhi’s tryst with India’s voters’ list is riddled’: BJP alleges Congress leader was on voters’ list before gaining Indian citizenship

It came after criticizing the irregularity allegations of the Congress’s voter rolls and opposing the ongoing special intensive revision of the election rolls in Bihar.
In an article in X (formerly called twitter), Malviya said, “Sonia Gandhi’s dealing with India’s voters list is full of prominent violations of the election law. This perhaps explains the love of Rahul Gandhi to regularly inappropriate and illegal voters.”
According to him, Sonia Gandhi’s name first appeared in election rolls three years ago without an Indian citizen when he was still an Italian citizenship in 1980. At that time, the Gandhi family, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s official residence, Safdarjung Road. Until then, the voters registered to this address were Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Sanjay Gandhi and Maneka Gandhi.
Malviya said that the election rolls for the new Delhi Parliamentary Election Zone were revised with January 1, 1980 as qualification date and that Sonia Gandhi’s name was added to the number of 388 series in 145 voting stations.
Following the objections in 1982, his name was removed, but reappeared in the 1983 revision. In this update, Malviya claimed that Sonia Gandhi was listed at 236 at 236 at the voting station dated January 1, 1983, dated January 1, 1983, despite Indian citizenship on 30 April 1983.
