Aldi re-launches search for Britain’s biggest crisp expert | UK | News
Aldi is looking for a final expert to have a clear condiment for 2025. The successful applicant will receive a choice from Aldi’s most popular chips to sample free of charge at home.
It will contain four flavors and in return, the supermarket’s purchasing team will need examinations that grads the taste, crisis, texture and appearance of chips to guide future delicacies. The package will include Aldi’s specially selected light sea salted hand -cooked chips; Specially selected mature cheddar and red onion hand -cooked chips; Snackrite delta strips; and snackrite cheese aroma cheesios.
39 -year -old NHS worker George Critchley from Sheffield was the first official flash of Aldi in 2024. The application impressed the judges by emphasizing that the love of chips was so deep and took the name of the wedding tables.
He said: “It was a purely pleasure to be Aldi’s crisp tizer – before anyone else, I must exemplify new flavors and impress what hit the shelves directly.
“It wasn’t just fun, it was a real opportunity to shape the future of snacks for an entire nation. If you’re a real clear expert, it’s a role you don’t want to miss.”
Last year, even celebrities threw their hats into the ring, actress Michelle Keegan asks the 7.5 million Instagram followers: “This is the real @aldiuk because I’m ready with a lot of experience.”
Julie Ashfield, President of Aldi UK’s trade, said: “After last year’s success with hundreds of entries, we once again welcome our shoppers to provide the quality, taste and price of our latest products.
“This year, our range of chips is doing a treasure, so it is an excellent way to start the role of a new crisp fountain, to encourage innovative ideas and delicious products to shelves.”
