PM defends Palestine recognition after US ‘disgust’

The Prime Minister returned the verbal fire in the US diplomat, and threw his words back to defending Australia’s recognition of Palestine.
On Monday, Australia announced that it would join other Western countries, including England, France and Canada to recognize the Palestinian state in the United Nations General Assembly in a response to the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Mike Huckabee, who was appointed by President Donald Trump as the US Ambassador to Israel in April, emphasized that the United States was surprised and that it was “a tremendous disappointment and a little disgust”.
But Anthony Albanian supported Australia’s decision and said that the pain of people in Gaza was disgusted.
“Australia is not the ambassador of a country,” he told ABC Radyo on Friday.
“My job was to represent Australia’s interest and the Australians were disgusted every night on their television.
“When you die of starvation, when you have children and children who lost their lives with families who have lined up for water, this is not surprising – a human reaction provokes the reaction.”
Mr. Huckabe also criticized the timing of the state announcement.
ABC’s 7.30 program on Thursday night, “Australia and other countries may have done by accidentally, Thursday night 7.30 program is exactly what they are afraid of pushing to do what they are afraid of,” he said.
“The result was to completely stop all kinds of thoughtful negotiations in the future.”

Almost 150 out of 193 UN member states already know the Palestinian state.
While the ambassador said that the US would not “preside” about Australia’s decision, Foreign Minister Penny Wong made US Secretary of State Marco Rubio public, and Mr. Albania spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
However, the liberal senator Jane Hume continued to claim that Americans on both sides of politics were shocked by Australia’s state of state.
“This decision by the workers’ government surprised the Americans, (Government) (Government) (Government) left a strong alliance between Israel and America and Australia to make this decision unilaterally,” he said.
The coalition promised to reverse Australia’s position if he wins the next election.
Australia’s decision to recognize a Palestinian state was partially supported by Israel’s newly unexplained plans to occupy the Gaza City, and at least 90,000 people came to the Sydney Harbor Bridge to support Palestine.

Albanese, “There are tens of thousands of people who claim that this is not the way to go forward. You can not continue with the same model without a extreme point,” he said.
“The last point has to isolate Hamas.”
Conditions for the recognition of Australia include guarantees that Hamas, the identified terrorist group that controls Gaza, has not played any role in a future state.
Many of the pro -Palestinian movement say that recognition will do nothing to change the situation on the ground and call the government to go further and to implement sanctions on Israel.
According to local health officials, Israel’s campaign in Gaza has killed approximately 62,000 Palestinians, including 18,000 children since 7 October 2023.
After the occupation of Hamas on October 7, 2023, it began when he killed more than 1200 Israelis and took about 250 hostage. Not all hostages were released.
The UN reflects 2.1 million people in Gaza, faced with high levels of acute food insecurity, while 470,000, 470,000, faced food insecurity after Israel has reduced the aid and resources to the region.
