Nagaland CM Mourns Governor La Ganesan’s Demise

Kohima: On Friday, Nagaland Prime Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio expressed deep sorrow on the death of Governor La Ganesan, who passed away in the Chennai of Tamil Nadu.

In his condolences message, Nagaland Cm said, “Today, on August 15, 2025, I was deeply upset about the passing of our Hon’ble Governor Shri La. Ganeshan Ji in Chennai.” He said.

On February 11, 2023, Ganesan was appointed as the 21st Nagaland Governor. During his term of office, he worked hard to strengthen the union and to encourage the development in the state.

“His humble nature loved him and will continue to inspire generations, Redi Rio said, he described him as honesty, principle, great wisdom and moral power.

The Prime Minister said that the dedication service of the governor, calm leadership and permanent commitment to justice and unity will be remembered. Rio, “The gap left by the passage will be deeply felt, but we get comfort in the service, courage and leadership heritage left behind. His contributions to the state and the nation will be remembered with respect and gratitude.” He said.
