Thorne Island: Abandoned fortress transformed into party island with its own nightclub – and it could be yours
A stray historical castle, which has been empty for 17 years, has been transformed into a ready party island completed with its own nightclub.
The Island of Thorne once was hosting up to 100 civil servants who once ruled a Napoleon Castle in the 19th century, which is to protect the nearby Milford Haven, a large naval base on the Pembrokeshire coast.
It was transformed into a hotel in 1947 and was hired for birthday parties, weddings and deer parties before it was sold in 1999.
Despite the suggestions to re -open a hotel on the site, which was completed with a new cable car, Mike Conner, a former software CEO, was empty and grew for 17 years until he lifted for £ 555,000 in May 2017.

He thinks that operating as a touristic attraction has a great potential or plays the landlord for “the most incredible praise” without neighbors.
