Donald Trump rules out US troops on the ground in any peace deal

Politico reported that the US Secret Service was preparing for the summit in the Central European country and that it emerged as the first choice for the capital White House.
British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron presided over the “willing coalition” meetings in Europe on Tuesday to negotiate military support they can offer to Ukraine if there is a peace agreement with Russia.
Albania attended the online meeting with 30 leaders. Australia said it would support the coalition, but did not promise land troops.

Putin wants Ukrainian troops to withdraw from Donetsk and Luhansk regions and recognize the Crimea as the Russian region as part of any potential agreement to remove their powers from Ukraine.
Trump said he was sure that the meeting with Zelensky and Putin will take place on Tuesday.

“I think Putin is tired of it, Tr Trump said. “I think it’s all tired of it. But you never know. We will learn about President Putin in the next few weeks. I can tell you.”
At the end of Tuesday, the European Commission Vice President Kaja Kallas held an online meeting with member states to apply more sanctions to Russia, the senior foreign relations official.
“Putin cannot trust any promises or commitments,” he said.
“Therefore, security guarantees should be strong and reliable enough to prevent Russia from re -grouping and re -attack.
“The EU will contribute to these security guarantees, especially by the training of Ukrainian troops and strengthening Ukraine’s armed forces and defense industry.
“The EU will also continue to target Russia’s war economy. The next sanction package against Moscow must be ready next month.”
