Fifteen rivers are at risk of flooding in NSW as saturated catchments receive downpour

Raising flood warnings are available in NSW as the eastern coast brackets of another relentless rain.
Northern NSW was prepared for a flood on Thursday, and there is currently 15 saturated basins under Flood Watch.
While the Peel River near Tamworth is leaning to reach small floods until Friday, some parts of the Namoi River will reach more than seven meters large flood levels along the north -west slopes.
Dangerous river conditions threaten the inhabitants with a search for two missing people falling into the Macdonald River in the Avcı region just before midnight on Wednesday.
Although the Macdonald River was not flooding at that time, the event is treated as a flood rescue by NSW Sound due to excessive rainfall affecting the area.
“We want to remind people that flash floods can be suddenly and without warning,” NSW Sound Commissioner Colin Malone said.
“Please never, under no circumstances, pass over the flood waters. If you encounter a flooded way, return and find another way.”

Isolated falls broke the triple step throughout the state overnight. From 21 hours to 6, the highest totals were 115 mm in Port Macquarie, 113 mm on the Maria River and 111mm in Lake Cathie on the Central North Coast.
“The rivers in the northeast NSW responded quickly to the rainfall in Northeast NSW,” Meteorological Bureau, Senior Meteorologist Helen Reid.
“From 6 am on Thursday morning, it is up to date for most of the Northeast NSW, including a flood clock, north -west slopes, northern coast and hunter for small to moderate floods.”

For Thursday, it is likely that the rainy sums will be between 40 and 80 mm in most of the eastern coast of Australia from Gold Coast in Queensland to Illawarra in NSW.
A shore low -pressure groove moves away from the east coast and is finally expected to relax after Friday afternoon, as moisture and rainfall are withdrawn from the open sea.
“However, we will see the effects of any flood that continues next week, Reid said Reid.
