A New Ultra-Modern Cultural Centre Is Coming Up At Madhapur Under The Aegis Of Sangeet Natak Academy

Hyderabad: An ultra-modern cultural centre, designed to host major cultural events and meetings, is being built on the premises of the Center for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT) in Madhapur under the aegis of Sangeet Natak Akademi.

Union minister G. Kishan Reddy, after reviewing the ongoing works, highlighted the acute shortage of quality venues in Hyderabad, which is currently solely dependent on Ravindra Bharathi for major events. He stated that the 23-crore project in Hi-Tec City area will soon emerge as a major attraction. “In this ever-expanding metro, there is a huge demand for spaces to host major cultural programmes. The Narendra Modi government approved this when I served as the Union minister of culture and tourism,” Reddy said.

Slated to be completed by December, Reddy added that the Center will be a boon for artists and the film industry to showcase their talent. The center will serve as a regional outpost for Sangeet Natak Akademi, bridging the cultural gap between North and South India. He said the center was also ready to allocate additional funds for upgrading the main auditorium to national standards.
