NSW hospital bed crisis deepens as opposition slams Labor over $120m plan

The NSW government came under fire on the state’s hospital bed attack and the expansion of $ 120 million in the deposits in the Hospital Bed Crisis and Blacktown and MT Druitt hospitals.

During the state budget forecasts on Thursday morning, the Minister of Labor Health Ryan Park clashed with the opposition MPs, claiming that the government delayed the much -needed investments in public hospitals in Western Sydney.

Liberal MP Susan Carter questioned why the minister was “playing politics” with a presentation of $ 60 million of $ 120 million between Blacktown and MT Druitt hospitals.

The government accused the government of delaying the presentation, which was estimated to be delivered in 2027-28 financially, but listed with the 2029 financial completion date.

Carter, “70 -year -old grandfather Raymond Ryan’a, for more than 24 hours for a bed after waiting for more than 24 hours, I am more interested in sleeping on the floor of the Hospital,” he said.

“This was in July… What do we call Raymond Ryan?”

On the other hand, Mr. Park referred to the previous liberal government’s wage deductions and the lack of investment in the “Front Personnel”.

“Covid in the middle of the front of the health workers in the middle of Covid was your government paying 0 percent,” he said.

“In the last three years, we have invested more of health labor than other governments.”

Mrs. Carter was ultimately held by the committee president and Greens MLC Amanda Cohn at an order point after “passing a line”.

“We have rules about the procedural justice, which includes respect for witnesses, and I think this actually passed a line, Ms Mrs. Cohn said from Mrs. Carter’s interpretation of“ politics ”.

The hearing was broken with consistent points of order after a series of febrile changes between Mr. Park and Mrs. Carter.

Worker MLC Stephen Lawrence accused the citizens of MLC Wes Fang after a clashing with Mr. Park on an investigation into the problems at the Blacktown Hospital of MLC WES FANG “screaming, pointing, renting and raving”.

“You were asked a question, you don’t answer the question. Your government side supported an investigation into rural health in the last period of the parliament. Why don’t you support an investigation into the BlackTown Hospital?” Mr. Fang shouted.

Mr. Park defended the government’s record of investigations of the state’s health system.

“I had my own agency’s royal commission… I do not know another minister who started a royal commission in the last 20 years,” he said.

The official said that the government added “120 million dollars of increasing personnel” and bed expansion of 120 million dollars in the Blacktown Hospital and that his government was determined to focus on “patient experience ındaki in problematic hospitals.

“We have seen significant developments in Blacktown Hospital, but there is more to do,” he said.
