Who runs?
Merrick Morley’s honest account of what is really like to live in a high -intensity solution to Melbourne’s housing crisis, today tells much that is wrong in the planning system and the construction industry.
In the old days when design professions have some sherrick integrity, there was a evaluation analysis after a fullness for a new housing – typically a month after the new inhabitants moved.
This analysis can be summarized as asking the test question of the best planning system to be preserved, what is it like to live there?
Today, very few state state agencies or developers will dare to ask such a question because they are afraid of the answer or already knows that it will not be a good publicity.
Is it great to prove that new apartments do not keep the market value or that it is a great place to not even move the furniture unless it comes in a flat package, from hidden costs to the literary package?
Why are such poor quality standards tolerated by these and previous state governments?
At least the former Planning Minister tried to bring better apartment standards, but in vain. All this brings to mind the question that is really responsible for planning and development in this state.

Building Inspectors
Urban planning is important, but the main problem in my experience is the quality of structure and design that is usually accused of qualified or careless business. This is largely guided by inadequate building control processes.
There have always been problems with labor. That’s why we always needed inspectors. The inspectors were mostly older works knowing all hiding and covering them and how to detect them.
Nowadays, there are many young people who do not have very little or no trade experiences, which is a third course about how to mark the boxes.
Arrangement is no problem. We got rid of the useful ones and replaced them with insufficient or wage producers.
Mark Freeman, Macleod
What problems?
The internal combustion engine (ICE) car users can pay attention to buying a house, because there is no charger (Australia more than 2700), historical range anxiety (500 plus km is normal, 1000 plus km soon), batteries are not normal (20 plus years normal) and price (soon less than $ 30,000).
The innovative designs of the charging stations and the latest battery technology mean that the charging will be faster/simple/cleaner than fuel pumping very soon: hang out for a coffee or toilet break without paying on the counter.
Unlike Gazli Guzzlers, homes are not a cigarette gun that points to the environment using the home sun for 0/km green driving and zero emissions. So, why are the ice addicts still not stuck with the latest technology to save the environment, as some houses still can withdraw boats, vans and trailers anymore?

Excess systems
The air travel is very safe, and this is due to every aircraft (large or small) that builds “system support ına for all critical components. The backup of systems means that there are binary systems to continue to work if the other fails, for example, the motor in each small plane has two ignition systems. If a system fails, the engine will still continue to operate using the other ignition system.
Very sad fact is that when we build highways and paid ways, there is no attention to a ‘system of system backup’. In fact, we create bottle necks on the existing road network to make traffic on highways and paid roads, so that we reduce alternative ways or methods of leaving motorways or wage ways in case of some emergency or collision.
A simpler and more effective solution to traffic congestion is to protect alternative road networks and create better or better railways. The suburban rail cycle (SRL) structure is a positive step to create a system surplus for our extreme stressful road network.

AI can be the answer
Re (letters, “AI is the answer”, 21/8). I definitely agree with the idea of using AI in the area of local government. The problem occurs even with the protection rails applied to the system. As a heritage that improves the framework of the protection rails, there is still a prejudice within the system.
Although there are some local councils that apply AI systems associated with planning inquiries in the early stages to allow people to receive an indicator of which planning results they want. However, there is still a lot of work in this field, especially in the local government, AI’s management, policy and use, which will be beneficial with the necessary management in the coming years.

Gay slurry penalty
I am the mother of a gay son who was exposed to homophobic slur when I am an adolescent. He was lucky to have the support of his close family as well as his close family. Considering what happened this week, I felt that I should inform you about a parent’s feelings.
He was personally taken by me with the invention of Izak Rankine because he not only reflected his character, but also insulting the families of homosexual children. In addition, Adelaide Football Club, the final games are more important than the home and away season because the tolerance should be shown when claiming that the wound rubbed salt. Anyone I talked about the club’s commitment felt that the most powerful punishment should be applied.

Trump No Stalin
Anna Funder is a brilliant writer, but she was at the top of Joseph Stalin as she plays Donald Trump (Comment, 21/8).
I share that he and many other people do not like Trump as a person, but he cannot be compared with a mass killing dictator of totalitarian states such as Stalin, with the likes of Mao and Hitler for all his mistakes in a series of policies.
An unfortunate transition to Trump derangement syndrome from someone who needs to know better.

Do we have to be exposed to this childish diatribe from Benjamin Netanyahu, the leader of a country condemning for crimes against humanity? We enter the dialogue and dance with their melody.

Why doesn’t Netanyahu come to Australia and tell Anthony to Arnavutes? Oh, that’s right, he can’t do it because he would be arrested as a war criminal.

Now, since the state labor returns to the game, every vote is important. Therefore, as suggested by the 2023 parliamentary investigation, a strong protection policy, including prohibiting the shooting of the duck and quail, is accepted.

Making a homophobic interpretation of the Izak Rank is weak, the adelaide shows unacceptable culture trying to reduce his punishment.

Melbourne Winter 2025: A nice day, the next beautiful.
Maureen Hayes, Parkdale
In my 45 years of experience, Melbourne typically offers a few great hot days before Glum September, in late August. This year seems earlier than usual. Is it another sign of global warming?
