Woman fined £600 after piece of cardboard ‘flew out’ of bin
A woman was sentenced to 600 pounds when a cardboard piece falls from the garbage box.
Francesca Poncetta, a 32 -year -old Wood Green in North London, received a letter on August 6, which was found at the bottom of a tree on August 6 after the recycling boxes were collected on August 12th.
The letter stated that he had to pay £ 300 in the first 14 days, otherwise this amount would be doubled to £ 600.
The free photographer initially thought that the letter was a joke.
According to Mailonline, Ms. Poncetta said: “I got a letter stating that they found a cardboard piece with my step and my address and that they wanted to verify that it came from my building.
“Due to my job, I have a lot of cardboard boxes, so I break them all and it was a very windy day, so what I believe was, they opened a very full box and the box was to fly away.
“I answered the questions, told me what happened, and I thought it was. Two weeks later, I got another letter saying that I was guilty and I owe £ 600.
“When I received the letter, I thought it was a joke at first. I thought they would understand that there was a mistake. I was absolutely shocked.”
Following the objection to the Municipality of Hreaty, it was canceled on September 15, just a month after the penalty.
An Harey Council spokesman said: “The residents have an obligation to take care of their domestic waste responsibly destroying, and this fixed penalty declaration was published after the cardboard was found on the street.
“Citizens can appeal the decision as here. After evaluating the information given, we canceled the fixed penalty warning.
“Our residents and businesses demanded stronger measures against garbage throwing and waste storage to make our streets and our streets and open spaces can enjoy everyone.”
