US hitwoman jailed for 30 years over bungled plot

West Midlands PoliceA US woman at the center of an unsuccessful assassination attempt in the UK has been imprisoned for 30 years.
Aimee Betro, a West Allis in Wisconsin, was hired as a murderer before he started running for about five years to attack a British family in Birmingham in 2019.

“You were ready to pull the trigger and you did it in two separate events.”
After the first unsuccessful attempt, Betro returned hours later and made three shots on the upper floor of the South Assisty house.
West Midlands PoliceDuring the hearing, the jury members were told that Betro, a graduate of childhood development and graphic design, came to the UK two weeks before he met Naziz in an appointment with an appointment.
In December 2018 and May 2019, the couple made a close online friendship through short messages and video calls before visiting England twice.
The court heard that Betro went back to Birmingham in August 2019, in love with Naziz at this point and consequently agreed to kill.
