Putin is said to be prioritized on the Donbas region, which is now covering Donetsk and Luhansk, and freezes the war lines in Kherson and Zaporizhzhia. According to the US intelligence forecasts, the Russian forces currently have about 88 percent of Donbas and about 73 percent of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia.
The proposal also suggests that Russia can give back smaller lands that Russia seized in Kharkiv, Sumy and Dnipropetrovsk as part of a wider settlement. But the region is not the only problem. Putin also pressures for certain guarantees that Ukraine will never participate in NATO, and that it will not participate in the commitment of Ukraine’s military talents and its commitment to keep Western troops out of the country. Zelenskyy is unlikely to accept
In particular, Zelenskyy had already rejected similar demands in the past, and Ukraine is not likely to accept any situation that should leave land to Russia. Zelenskyy, who is currently under Russian control, strongly defended for at least 30 days of full, wires, and called a basic step towards significant diplomacy. It is probably demanding concrete security guarantees from Western allies, which are probably modeled after NATO guards, including the US and Europe. Zelenskyy also called for the release of all prisoners of war and to call the kidnapped children’s cease -fire talks and diplomacy as a prerequisite.
