Suspected arson attack on London restaurant like a ‘Halloween scene’, witness says

A local businessman said that at a restaurant in London in the north east, a suspicious arson attack is like a scene from Halloween ”.

Police, medical officials and firefighters were called to the scene at the Indian Aroma in Gants Hill, Gants Hill at 9 am on Friday at 9 am.

CCTV images from the fire that left three people in a life -threatening situation showed a man who escaped from the building of a man whose clothes were on fire.

The images show that a group of people with closed faces enter the restaurant before pouring liquids. A few seconds later, the restaurant is swallowed in flames.

Part of the ground floor was damaged by fire and the crew saved five people from the restaurant. The London Fire Brigade, nine people before.

39 -year -old Sayed Bokhari said that he was talking to the restaurant manager: “He was crying. He was very shocked. He was really crying. He was extremely scared.”

Mr Bokhari, “Terrible and very scary.” He said.

“It looked like a scene from the Halloween. It was a serious, dramatic thing, and people were running around him,” he said.

Mr. Bokhari, who has been carrying out a business in the region for 15 years, said: “Scary because we run the retail stores that host customers.

“The doors are like the doors of your house. We cannot control everyone to see if they are safe.

“Scary. You are worried about people. You are worried about your business.

“London is no longer so fun.”

No arrest was made after the suspect’s arson attack, and the cause of the fire is investigated by firefighters and Met.

A local resident described it as “terrible öz after the suspicious arson attack.

The 43 -year -old hospital Porter Edward Thawe went out of his nearby house with his 12 -year -old son to see if he could help after hearing screaming.

“More than scary and something you don’t want to look twice,” he said.

He said he thought a man on the street and a woman outside thought could be a customer.

Mr. Thawe added that he was “his entire body burned”, including the man’s shirt, but he was still wearing his pants.

Forensic medical officers examined the scene while a police cord entered into force on Saturday.

A trail of what looks like bloody footprints along the sidewalk was identified by a forensic median, and a number of items were packaged in clear plastic carriers.

“We understand that this event will cause concern in the community. My expert detective team is working quickly to bring the incident together.

“The locals may expect a large police in the region. If you have any concerns, please talk to the officers on the ground.”
