‘Hot, crispy and cheeky’: Scottish chippy deep-fries the M&S strawberry and cream sandwich | Scotland

Marks & Spencer launched the first pre -packaged sandwich in the spring of 1980 and raised his eyebrows by selling a strawberry and cream -filled one this summer.

A staff from the Bearsen Chip Shop, based in the East Dunbartonshire, said: “We like to put a fun Scottish whisking twist in the things that people already know. When the buzzing of M & s strawberries, we thought, why are they hot, crispy and a little intermittent?
The clip drew thousands of opinions and the commentators described treatment as a “crazy creation .. The staff already say that more than one person came to try sandwich and they like to see the reactions.
“The reaction was bright-a large number of curious first timer, plenty of ‘in no way… Okay, maybe’ moments, and a few instant instantly transforms,” he said. “In the shop and online, it became a suitable speech launcher, and there were people who just came to try and film their first bites.
“We have always had fun with the desserts-our Glaswegian Donut has been a customer favorite for years. This is our tongue against American-style fried buns, but Glasgow made its way.”
The Glaswegian frost consists of a crisp battered roll filled with nutella and strawberry jam and coated with sugar. The representative added: “We love to see people’s reactions between this and the strawberry sandwich, when they try something they never expected from a moss.”
After the bulletin promotion
In June, M&S launched Çilek Sando, a sandwich made with a Japanese market favorite, soft milk bread, whipped cream and smooth -layered fruit. According to Kathryn Turner, Product Development Director at M&S Food, Sandwich divided view was sold only 100,000 in the first month after the launch.
