‘Your Head’s Going To Spin’: Trump Warns Tariff Threat During India-Pakistan Conflict | World News

US President Donald Trump claimed that he played an important role in eliminating tensions between India and Pakistan during his term of office.
“… a very great man, the Prime Minister of India, I talk to Narendra Modi. I told you what happened to you and Pakistan. Then I talk to Pakistan about trade. I told you what happened to you and India? This has been going on for a long time, sometimes with different names for hundreds of years,” he said.
Trump warned Pakistan against making a trade agreement with the United States between India and India and that such movements could increase the situation. He also stated that he threatened to apply high tariffs to Pakistan if the issue is not solved.

“I said, I do not want to make a trade agreement with you … You will enter a nuclear war … I said, we will call me again tomorrow, but we will not make any agreement with you or we will put you very high tariffs, your head will return,” he said.

50% Tariff Order for Trump’s Indian imports
50 percent of tariffs for imports from India to the United States came into force today. This follows the draft notification published by the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and indicating that the order will enter into force as of August 27th. According to the declaration, the President of the President dated 6 August 2025 is applied to the executive order titled “Taking threats to the United States by the government of the Russian Federation”.
The order set a new task rate for the import of articles, which are the products of India. The Movement follows the announcement of Trump’s announcement to increase the tariffs in Indian goods to 50 percent.
