Argentina Eases Entry Rules for Indians With US Visas

New Delhi: On Wednesday, Argentina’s Ambassador of India Mariano Caucino announced the country that the country has relieved visa rules for Indian citizens holding valid US visas.

According to a decision published in the Official Gazette, Indian citizens with a tourist visa to the US will now enter Argentina without applying for an Argentine visa separately.

Ambassador Caucino, who welcomed the movement in a mission on X, said, “The Argentine government facilitated the entry to the country for Indian citizens with US visas. The decision published in the Official Gazette allowed Indian citizens with tourist visa to enter the United States without the need to apply for the Argentine visa.

The visa announcement comes at a time when India and Argentina accelerate cooperation in many areas. In July, the two sides organized the 2nd Joint Working Group (JWG) meeting on agriculture in the new Delhi, Indian Co -Chair Devesh Chaturvedi, Secretary, Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Department, virtual.

According to a statement made by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare, the meeting was chaired by Argentina by agriculture, animal husbandry and fishing by Sergio Iraeta, Sergio Iraeta. Both sides emphasized the meeting as a milestone in the deepening of cooperation in agricultural and allied sectors.

Develing Chaturvedi stressed that Argentina is an important partner for India with its cooperation, information sharing and the best practices. Agricultural mechanization, pest control, climate -resistant agriculture and common research drew attention to opportunities.

Sergio Iraeta confirmed the commitment to strengthen Argentina’s partnership with India. He emphasized the interest in agricultural mechanization, genome regulation and plant growing technologies, and said that both countries can complete each other in increasing productivity, encouraging mechanization and improving the welfare of farmers.

Muktanand Agrawal, a joint secretary (plant protection), stressed India’s successes in agriculture and summarized the government initiatives in digital solutions, climate -resistant agriculture, risk reduction and government loan.

Both parties discussed cooperation with horticulture, oil seeds and pulse cultivation, sensitive agriculture, carbon loans for farmers, biopestesitis, carob control, new reproductive technologies and market access.

The meeting was attended by the welfare of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers, the Council of Agricultural Research, the Council of Agricultural Research, the Department of Livestock and Milk and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
