The salaries in the United Kingdom change greatly compared to the region – but how do yours compare? According to Adzuna, the job search site has recently been an increase in salary. On average, the advertised salaries continued to climb and reached £ 42.264 with an increase of 8.76% last year.
Some regions have seen greater increases than others, Northern Ireland made an annual leap of 14.3%. In spite of positive news for salaries, there was a decrease in empty positions with the lowest entrance level in five years, Sky News Reports.
Andrew Hunter, Founding Partner of Adzuna, said: “After a hopeful increase in June, July returned with the fall of the gaps again.
“While salary growth continues to be one of a few consistent positives – to continue to overcome inflation – it is clearly irregular to hire appetite.”
The richest regions are London, then Eastern England and then North Ireland.
Compared, the poorest region is Wales.
According to Statista, in 2024, the average salary for full -time workers in the UK was £ 37,430 a year from £ 34,963 the previous year.
Which jobs In 2025, the UK’s annual salary for full -time employees was £ 37,430 and the total median salary was £ 31,602.
“This reflects the tendency to increase in wage growth between 2023 and 2024, when salaries grow approximately 4.8% per year.
“In the meantime, the average weekly earnings rose to £ 728 and increased by 6% compared to the previous year.
“However, when set for inflation circulating around 3.8%, the act of real wage was modest at about 2.1%.”
