Nick Woltemade: Newcastle close to striker signing

Newcastle United’s movement for Nick Woltem is “developing”, but the head coach Eddie Howe did not guarantee Alexander Isak’s future.

The 23 -year -old Woltemade came to Tyneside on Thursday and will be medical on Friday before completing his transfer from Stuttgart.

A fee was not approved, but a source claimed that it would be a club record – defeating 63 million pounds they paid three years ago for ISAK.

Howe said Woltemade is not likely to be recorded on Saturday against Leeds United to make a Premier League on time, but “the most important thing is that we are trying to bring a center.”

“Currently, things are moving and developing,” he said. “I can’t confirm anything until things are over – but the fingers passed.”

If it concludes the signing of Newcastle Woltemade, Liverpool may encourage Liverpool to make another move for Isak in the last days of the transfer window after the champions rejected an offer last month.

Last week, Newcastle said that they did not foresee their conditions to sell 25 -year -old Isak, that is, they provided two quality strikers and they did not foresee a proper offer from Liverpool.

Accepting an agreement for Woltemade feels like an important first step, and Howe said the club is still looking at it because there is an opportunity to improve the squad even further. “

He also announced that Isak could be re -integrated in the squad, but he said “it is difficult to give any clarity about the future”.

“Of course I have a choice, but you should look at all the information after all,” he said. “I have a choice of football, but then you should take everything into consideration.

“You can’t be unaware of the things that happened, so I’m trying to separate myself from it because I have no control on it. I will let everything go in the way and deal with ultimate.”

Howe said he had to separate him from the relevant feeling when he stopped training with Isak’s teammates.

“Then I got the opinion that the team should be the best and focus on them completely,” he said.

“This would not be solved quickly and I had no control in bringing him any solution. I was in the position I called for progress with the squad.”
