Speaker Om Birla flags decline in standards of debate

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birle expressed his concerns about the lack of meaningful discussions in Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha and State Legislative Assemblies on Friday, August 29, 2025.

He said that there is a widespread concern about the language used and the behaviors used to guide such negotiations, speaking at the National Castes and Tribes Conference for two days of the parliamentary and state and unity region legislative councils that started on Friday for two days.

Birla said, “In the parliamentary committees, the language, thoughts and perspectives of the members are always on party politics,” he said. The authority called on the party lines on national interest.

“If we want to take the country forward, we must improve the social and economic conditions of the branches, tribes and other marginal sections. We must ensure that their rights are approved in accordance with their needs in order to create a nation -based nation,” he said.

The conference is held for the first time outside Delhi. The first conference of SCs and committees on the welfare of the STS was held in 1976 in the new Delhi. Subsequent conferences took place in 1979, 1983, 1987 and 2001.

Speaking on this occasion, Odisha Prime Minister Mohan Majhi said that 40% of the state population belongs to the dalit and tribal communities and that various plans were applied for their developments.

Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram, five Crore tribal tribal said that the Prime Minister Janman and Dhabi Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh schemes spoke about the schemes.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Odisha President Surama Padhi were also present.
