Big earthquake shakes eastern Afghanistan

An earthquake of 6.0 magnitude shook East Afghanistan near the Pakistan border.

The US Geology Survey said that the city of Nangarhar, the centers of the earthquake, is close to Jalalabad and has an eight -kilometer depth. Local on Sunday was shot at 23:47.

Naqibullah Rahimi, spokesman for Nangarhar Public Health Department, said that 15 people were injured and taken to the local hospital for treatment.

After about 20 minutes in the same province, there was a second earthquake of 4.5 size and 10km depth.

On October 7, 2023, a 6.3 earthquake hit Afghanistan and followed by strong aftershocks. The Taliban government estimated that at least 4000 people were killed.

The UN gave a much lower death fee of around 1500. In the last memory, hit Afghanistan was the most deadly natural disaster.
