M1 traffic LIVE: Crash sparks 8-mile congestion and delays | UK | News

Motorists on a major highway faced major delays on Wednesday morning after a crash led to the closure of two of four lanes. The M1 southern border between junction 13 and junction 12 in Milton Keynes was partially closed, with drivers facing 12 kilometers of traffic jams and 60-minute delays. The lanes were later reopened around 09:00.

National Highways said this morning: “On the M1 southbound between J13 MiltonKeynes and J12, the 2 outer lanes (of 4 lanes) are closed due to a collision. Bedfordshire Fire and rescue crew are on scene. 60 minute delay on approach, 8 mile traffic jam on approach.”
