Amputee surgeon admits lying to insurers over removal of his own legs

Hundreds of amputations an NHS Vascular Surgeon agreed to remove his own legs and lie to the insurers that he had excessive pornography from a man called “Eunich producer”.

49 -year -old Neil Hopper, whose legs were cut under the knee, is accused of insurance companies to tell their injuries that their injuries are “sepsis as a result of sepsis and that it does not work on its own”.

The Court of Transition Orders of the Medical Applicants Court Service has imposed restrictions on the following month application when investigating the General Medical Council and has been suspended from medical records since December 2023.

A Devon and Cornwall Police Spokesman said: “Royal Cornwall hospitals, where Mr. Hopper was employed, worked closely with Devon and Cornwall police during the investigation.”

A hospital Trust spokesman added: “The accusations are not related to Mr. Hopper’s professional behavior, and there was no evidence that proposes any risk for patients.

“Mr. Hopper worked in Royal Cornwall hospitals from 2013 until he was dismissed in March 2023 after his first arrest.

“Old patients with any question or concern about their treatments may contact the patient experience team of Royal Cornwall Hospitals.”
