Bike rally to create awareness against drug abuse held in Mysuru

A bicycle rally was held in the city on Sunday to raise awareness about the negative impact of drug addiction and the necessities of staying away from it.
GSS projects, Maharaja Institute, Lions International Region 317 and other organizations organized by other organizations participated in the scores of cyclists.
Sushrutha Gowda of Shahateri Gopal Gowda Hospital marked the rally from the rally and expressed his concerns about the increasing threat of drug addiction. By referring to the reports, the number of drugs addicted young people has exceeded a few Crore in the country and Punjab, Haryana and so on. He said that some states were badly affected.
Recently, the police pointed out the pressure of an illegal drug production unit in Mysuru. Gowda said it was a dangerous development and that even if it is not marked, even Karnataka could join the list of influences.
Dr. Dr. Dr. Gowda proposed amendments to the Law on Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances in 1985 or NDPS.
The rally started from the Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple and passed through JC Wadiyar Circle, Chamaraja Double Way, Ramaswamy Circle, JLB Road, City Train Station, Irwin Road, Ashoka Road and ended at the starting point.
Former Mayor Sandesh Swamy and others were Mla for TS Srivatsa.
