Australian Red Cross makes urgent appeal for blood donors after peak cancellations, high demand across winter

The Australian Red Cross urgently objected to people to donate blood during the next week after the demand for “the highest so far” demand during the winter.
Lifeblood CEO Stephen Cornelissen said that an increase in cancellations and lack of appointments reduces national blood supply levels.
“At the same time, we have experienced our highest winter demand that significantly affecting life vessel materials,” he said.
